WeMachines vs Trello

Trello organizes work with boards, lists and cards. WeMachines adds chat, docs, calls and machines around its task board. Here is how that changes the way a team creates and reviews work.

Tasks, machines and coding agents

Hand a task to a machine. It works on a branch and opens a pull request for review. You can also connect Claude Code, Cursor or Codex through MCP. The board shows which task a connected agent is working on. Ask AI to create a task from a conversation. Completed tasks are kept. After 14 days they move into the grey zone, so the board stays on current work and search still finds the old ones.

AI and automation

Machines use workspace context to answer questions and act on requests. Routines handle recurring jobs, while GitHub rules update task status. Models marked ZDR use zero data retention, including the built-in AI.

Apps, chat and docs

Describe an internal tool in Apps, then review the first version and ask for changes. WeMachines hosts it and saves each version. Apps are in early access. Routines can run scheduled work and post results to a channel. Chat, docs and calls are included in the same workspace.

Transparency

Machines can use chat, tasks, docs, call transcripts and connected repositories as context. You choose which docs they read. Team channels are visible to everyone in the workspace, so agree on that level of access before moving your conversations. Whispers are end-to-end encrypted, readable only by the two people in them.

Where Trello is ahead

Trello may fit a team that mainly needs a visual board for tasks. Compare the extra tools your team uses for conversations, docs and calls before deciding whether to move them.
