WeMachines in Slack
Mention @WeMachines in a channel. It files the task, or answers from your team’s workspace.
Two things, in the thread
- Files the task“@WeMachines open a ticket for this.” It reads the thread and writes a real task - specific title, the substance of what was said, attributed to whoever asked.
- Answers from the workspace“@WeMachines what’s blocking the launch?” It looks the work up and replies in the thread, never in the channel’s main flow.
Installing it
- 01Open your WeMachines workspaceFree for up to 10 people. Creating one takes a team name.
- 02Settings → Slack → Add to SlackAn admin starts it. Slack asks which workspace to install into, and you approve there.
- 03Invite it to a channelType /invite @WeMachines wherever you want it. It sees those channels and no others.
- 04Mention itThere is no slash command. @WeMachines is how you reach it.
It starts knowing nothing. How much of the workspace the bot may say out loud in Slack is an admin setting - because the channel is the audience, not the person asking.
Off Default. Files tasks, answers questions about WeMachines itself.
Limited Adds the board - tasks, statuses, members.
All Adds discussions, documents, team chat, huddle summaries.
Where it stops
- Only members it can matchA Slack email that matches no member gets a polite refusal naming the address.
- Only channels it was invited toNo scope lets it enumerate or read the rest of your Slack, DMs included.
- One team, one SlackOne Slack workspace connects to one WeMachines workspace. Enterprise Grid org-wide installs aren’t supported.
- No agents from SlackStarting a coding agent stays in the app, where the model and the spend are confirmed.
