Bring your work over
Move your tasks and docs over from Linear, Jira, Notion, Trello or a spreadsheet, and check every one on a single screen before anything is saved.
Nothing is written until you import.
Your backlog holds decisions you don’t want to lose. The good news: moving it over is easy. Export from the tool you use today, drop it in, check everything on one screen, and import. Your words come across exactly as you wrote them.
No AI, no surprises
The import doesn’t use AI. Each format has a fixed reader, so every title, description and value is copied as is, the same file always imports the same way, and it costs no credits.
You don’t even have to say where you’re coming from. Each file is recognised from what’s inside it.
Open the importer
Click the Settings cog in the dock and pick Import, under Get started.
What it reads
- Exports from Linear, Jira, Asana, ClickUp and GitHub issues.
- A Trello board’s JSON. Lists become statuses in board order, and checklists come along under each card’s description, ticks and all.
- monday.com and any other Excel file (.xlsx). No need to save it as CSV first.
- Any CSV, or a list of JSON records.
- A Notion “Markdown & CSV” export, nested or not. Pages keep their links to each other and their images, and a database comes in as tasks or pages, whichever fits.
- Folders of Markdown or HTML pages.
- Pasted text: a spreadsheet’s rows, a checklist (one task per item, with headings as topics), or notes as one page. Press Cmd/Ctrl+V anywhere on the page.
PDFs and Word files (.docx) can’t be read. Export CSV, Markdown or HTML from wherever they came from instead.
Chat history doesn’t come across, from Slack or anywhere else. Bring your tasks and docs, and start your conversations fresh.
Check it before it lands
Nothing is saved until you say so. One screen shows the whole plan, and you can change any of it. Pick what each spreadsheet column becomes, or leave it out. Match each old status to one of yours, or create a new one. People are matched by email or by a name only one teammate has. Anyone who doesn’t match is left unassigned, with their name kept in the description. Importing never invites or emails anyone.
You’ll also see every task and page exactly as it will be saved, plus a “Left behind” list of anything that won’t come across and why. Give that list a look, especially if your old tool has fields your team relies on.
Statuses
1 new column goes on the board beside the ones of the same kind. The rest join the columns they match.
People
2 of 3 matched to a member here. Nobody is invited or emailed; a task whose person isn't here lands unassigned, with their name kept under its description.
Left behind
Everything that does not come across, and why.
Due dates, estimates and old IDs like ENG-12 are kept in a small table under the description. Original creation dates come along too.
Comments and finished tasks
Comments. Old comments don’t come across, since every comment here is signed by the person who wrote it. If one really matters, paste it into the description as a quote and say who wrote it.
Finished tasks. You can leave them out. If you bring them, they move to the grey zone 14 days after they land, like any done task: kept, and search finds them, but out of your list.
Pick a day to switch
Agree with your team on the day you all move over, so nobody updates two boards at once. And if a save fails halfway, the importer removes what it added, so you can simply try again.
Take it all with you, any time
Your work is yours. An admin can export the whole workspace from Settings → Danger Zone. You get a .zip with every record as JSON, plus the same work as readable Markdown. Uploaded files aren’t included. Use it as a backup or to move somewhere else.
