WeMachines vs Monday.com

monday.com uses configurable boards, automations and dashboards for different teams. WeMachines combines chat, tasks, docs and calls with machines. Here is how the two approaches fit software work.

Setting up the workspace

WeMachines starts with task lists, a board, chat and docs. Adjust statuses, labels and topics to suit your team. For a separate internal tool, describe an app and review the version the AI builds.

AI

Hand a task to a machine. It works on a branch and opens a pull request for review. You can also connect Claude Code, Cursor or Codex through MCP. The board shows which task a connected agent is working on. Machines also work in chat and docs. Use routines to repeat a task on a schedule.

AI models

Choose a model for each machine from the WeMachines catalog. AI usage comes from a shared credit balance. Models marked ZDR use zero data retention; this includes the models used by built-in AI features.

Tickets

Ask AI to create a task from a conversation, then update it as the plan changes. GitHub workflow rules can move tasks when code is pushed or merged. Completed tasks are kept. After 14 days they move into the grey zone, so the board stays on current work and search still finds the old ones. Keep lasting decisions in Docs.

Shared context

Machines can use chat, tasks, docs, call transcripts and connected repositories as context. You choose which docs they read. Team channels are visible to everyone in the workspace, so agree on that level of access before moving your conversations. Whispers are end-to-end encrypted, readable only by the two people in them.

Where monday.com is ahead

monday.com may suit teams that want configurable boards across sales, marketing, operations and support. Check its department-specific products against the work you need to manage.
